Gulf Bank invites students to see the private sector in action

Gulf Bank opened its doors to a group of 20 high school students as part of its involvement in the Manpower & Government Restructuring Program, the Al Tahaddi campaign.

Gulf Banks Human Resource Training Department prepared a full schedule of activities including a tour of the Bank and a workshop to discuss the differences between working in the private and public sectors. The goal of the day was to give students a better understanding of the benefits offered when working in the private sector and more so in the world of finance.

Seham Al-Jalawi, Gulf Banks Localization and Personal Services Unit Manager, commented:

We wanted to give the students a real-life experience, with the chance to see how their lives might be if they joined the banking sector. It is important to ensure that young people, who are planning their future careers, get a realistic understanding of the challenges and opportunities ahead. It is also very important for students to see that there are many benefits attached to working in the private sector

Gulf Bank plays a leading role in the development of Kuwaits human resources showcased in our ongoing support towards various student initiatives. We want to be part of the development of the future generation of Kuwait and we hope to be able to help Kuwaitis achieve their full potential, concluded Al-Jalawi.

Gulf Bank remains deeply committed to its own CSR mission, which is to support Kuwaitization through training and development and the employment of Kuwaitis for a better and more prosperous Kuwait.
